2024: SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT MAIDENHEAD & BRAY CRICKET CLUB
THE CLUB:
Maidenhead & Bray Cricket Club are one of the most prominent cricket clubs in the Berkshire area. The club has a thriving membership and has a high amount of footfall from April to September not just from playing members but also from spectators and social members. We welcome commercial partners who can be involved in and assist with the development and renewal of our facilities. Our sponsor partners would get fantastic visibility and recognition across the region through the membership of the club. This is an ideal opportunity for established businesses looking to grow their customer base or new businesses looking to create brand-awareness through this partnership with a prestigious sporting institution.
The Pavilion at Bray is an extremely popular social venue, particularly during junior training and at weekends for adult matches, but also for parties, wedding celebrations and music events.
The Club was founded in 1789 and plays at one of the most beautiful grounds in the country. We provide cricket for everyone - with 6 League teams every Saturday, Women's league cricket, 2 Sunday sides and 250-300 junior cricketers of all ages from 4 upwards. While most members and parents are of course based in and around Maidenhead, we have players and families from far further afield too - from West London to Oxfordshire and Hampshire. Visiting teams come from all over the Thames Valley area and through to London.
DEVELOPMENT NEEDS & COVERAGE:
The club has been growing consistently, doubling in size over the last decade, with a loyal and enthusiastic membership and popularity locally, but we need to invest in order to maintain and improve the playing and training facilities that we offer. In particular, we need to improve the outfields, develop an artificial wicket on our second pitch to accommodate the increased numbers of junior matches, develop the second ground on the Jubilee field, by the construction of a small changing room and toilet block, and to expand and improve the facilities in the Pavilion.
Because of the nature of the beauty of the ground, there are restrictions on the club's ability to offer advertising at the ground (no advertising hoarding etc), and therefore commercial partners will enjoy a degree of exclusivity when becoming part of the club. We are looking for sponsors for:
1. The covers - your logo would be placed on the covers that protect the wicket before and after games. It would therefore be in a central location, highly visible to everyone who visits the ground. You would need to provide the printed banner/cover to go onto the covers, but we can assist with the how this is designed to fit.
See below, how Savills Windsor have utilised the covers sponsorship. We can accommodate two more sponsors on the covers.
2. The nets – a suitable logo etc can be printed on "blinkers", to be displayed at the batsman's end of each strip. The nets are heavily used by all sections of the club and visitors throughout the season, and (weather permitting) regularly throughout the rest of the year. We would need to discuss and agree the design of the logo, for safety reasons.
3. Shirts – there is therefore an opportunity to sponsor either the main front of the shirt or an arm-badge, for all members of the club from U9 to seniors.
SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES:
1. Silver package: Sponsors get your name/logo on our flashing Zing stumps (as seen in the IPL and T20 tournaments around the world) or your banner behind the nets. You would also get a digital banner on our website and a back link to the sponsor website. Weekly social media posts along with posts at the beginning and the end of the season thanking you for your sponsorship along with any special offers you may be running.
2. Gold Package: All the above with an opportunity to have temporary banners/standee displays on 4 Friday evenings at the club between May and August or their sponsors message on the covers. Friday evenings see close to 150 families and additional supporters at the club being present.
3. Platinum Package: Logo on front of the shirt and standee opportunity for Friday evenings to suit you through the season. All the above from Silver/Gold packages included. This package would be a minimum 2-year arrangement, at a reduced sum for 2nd and subsequent years, to assist penetration of the shirts through the club sections over that period.
As well as the above, we also ensure that all commercial partners have their names/logos and a link to their websites from our own website and can place leaflets and other promotional material in the very popular bar in the Pavilion. We also try to make sure that the contributions made by everyone to cricket at Bray are regularly recognised in our social media and communications with our members, to encourage people to give something back, and we will follow your social media and “like” your posts to help promote them to our own followers.
If this is something that you would like to discuss, please let us know and we would be delighted to meet with you. We would be delighted to welcome you to the ground. Please do call or email Tim Child (Club Chairman, tjp.child@gmail.com, phone 07733320555) or Shabbir Mookhtiar (Club Secretary, Phone-07413827821)
