Transport to and from Matches
Safe Transport Arrangements for Players
Important Notice
The following guidelines ensure the safety and wellbeing of all players when traveling to and from matches and training sessions.
Transport Guidelines
- Parents/carers are responsible for the safe delivery and collection of their child for matches or training. The Club cannot accept responsibility for any lift-sharing arrangements organised between parents/carers.
- It is not the responsibility of the Club, coach or team manager to transport, or arrange transport for, the children to and from the club or match.
- The club must receive permission from parents/carers for children to participate in all competitions and away fixtures/events
- Parents/carers are expected to attend matches or training sessions or nominate a guardian to do so.
- Parents will be asked to give consent for their child/ren to travel with adults to open-age cricket matches, if necessary. Adults playing open-age cricket will not transport children (i.e. without a parent or adult). The Club cannot accept responsibility for any such arrangements.
Key Principles
- •Parents/carers retain full responsibility for transport arrangements
- •Written permission is required for all away fixtures and events
- •The club does not organize or take responsibility for lift-sharing
- •Adults playing open-age cricket should not transport unaccompanied children
