COLTS PRESENTATION EVENING
Proceedings will start at 6.30 p.m. and, as always, it will be great to see as many of the Colts there as possible.
The age level Managers will be offering a reflection on this seasons cricket and handing out trophies to the category winners.
We do hope you can make it and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Friday. The Ground will be open for car parking.
Kind Regards,
Mark Hayes
Head of Colts VACANCY : HEAD OF COLTS
For many generations of cricket at Maidenhead and Bray one of our proudest achievements is the progression of colts through each of the age groups up to senior level which is demonstrated by numerous key players in our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI senior teams who have over the years benefited from the structured coaching provided with the help of the Berkshire coaches helped by senior players in the club at all levels.
The colts section of the club has once again surpassed our expectations and delivered a hugely successful season for our younger members. Our programme for continuous development of the club through our youth (boys and girls) up to senior cricket is now well established and is unique in the local area covering all the age groups from U7 upwards through to senior cricket.
None of this would have been possible without the help and support of parents who have volunteered their time and energy to assist in the management, organisation and administration of each colts section which is essential for the success we have seen this season and hope to continue in the future.
After very successfully carrying out the role of 'Head of Colts Cricket' for the last two years, Mark Hayes has decided to step down due to his increasing career/work commitments although he will still be able to look after the U15 colts next season. We are therefore seeking to fill this position at this time in order that we can effect a smooth transition in preparation for the coming season and so we are inviting any parent who feels they can contribute to our continuing success by filling this position to come forward and offer their services. Mark has also kindly offered to provide any guidance necessary to the new appointee and will of course be available to offer advice throughout the season. The Head of Colts position will also be part of the Maidenhead and Bray Cricket Club Committee who meet on a monthly basis throughout the cricket season.
This position is vital to the continuation of the colts within the club and I would therefore invite those interested in taking up this role to contact me as soon as possible in order that we can set up a meeting in the next few weeks with Mark Hayes and Huw Buckle (who has previously carried out the role) to go over the associated duties in more detail.
We will also raise this at the forthcoming awards ceremony on 11th Sept 2015 at which time anyone who thinks they could be interested can get more information from myself, Mark or Huw.
Best Regards,
Bob Ballantyne
Chairman
