Welcome to Maidenhead & Bray Cricket Club. The Club is situated in the beautiful village of Bray, Berkshire, on the banks of the Thames, overlooked by the Church of St Michael. The main ground is widely acknowledged as one of the most picturesque in the country.
Records of cricket at Bray go back over 260 years. The Club is now one of the most go-ahead and lively cricket clubs in the county. We have four teams in the Morrant Thames Valley League, and six teams in the Berkshire Colts Cricket League. The senior side has won the Thames Valley League twice, and our colts sides are among the best in the county, with 6 teams playing in the 5 age groups.
We have around 250 colts, boys and girls, aged from around 6 up to 17, and some of our colts regularly play for our senior teams; we regularly provide county teams with colts players, and one has played for England colts teams. We also ensure that as many colts as possible get games during the season, with a programme of 'friendlies'. The Club is one of the few in the county with a dedicated girls section, and is the only one in Berkshire to provide cricket coaching for disabled youngsters.
We have over 20 qualified coaches, 5 qualified at Level 2. We were the first Berkshire club to be awarded Sport England’s Clubmark by the ECB.
The social side of the Club is particularly strong, with a programme of functions throughout the season. For many years the highlight of the social calendar has been 'Parkie Day', hosted by our President, Sir Michael Parkinson.
New players, supporters and their families are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome. There are excellent facilities for playing, practising, socialising and best of all you'll be part of the most progressive club in Berkshire.
Saturday 5th September was the last round of the 2009 Thames Valley League Season. The 1st XI secured the 13 points required to survive another season in the Thames Valley League division 1 with a winning draw over Tring Park, which leaves the First XI the top side in the Town. A great achievement when you consider four got relegated from the division.
The Second XI cemented their fourth position in division 4B with a 25 point win over Eversley 2's, with Saqib Quershi (70 not out) rolling back the years ably supported by birthday boy John Hewitt (51) producing one of his typical cavalier innings.
The Third XI, already promoted lasted week under the leadership of Saj Tariq for the third time in three years, eventually disposed of Newbury helped by a 141 run partnership between Milan Pandya (80*) and Barrie Wykes (54).
The Fourth XI claimed the division 8B title. Already promoted they needed to win to guarantee the Championship against Amersham 3. Restricting Amersham to 224 for 6 in their 52 overs, Bray cruised past the target in the 35th over, Phil Cowell top scoring with 31.
Two sides promoted, two sides mid table, not a bad season!!!

Bukhari steers Bray to Promotion
Maidenhead and Bray 3rd travelled to Harefield in a crucial promotion chasing game. Both teams needing to win to secure the promotion. Bray were asked to bat on a very unpredictable wicket. They were given the perfect start by the opening pair Vish Kumar and Blair King who put on 85 from 16 overs. A bowling change by Harefield brought three quick wickets and Bray were on 89 for 3.
U13 Berkshire League Semi Final - Bray vs Royal Ascot
Maidenhead & Bray U13's continued their excellent season when they qualified for the Berkshire League final following their comprehensive defeat of Royal Ascot by 10 wickets on Sunday.
Stand in Bray captain Jamie Odell chose to bowl first on winning the toss and led from the front with a spell of quick bowling which saw him claim 3 wickets for 6 runs in his 4 over spell. With excellent support from Cameron Mahon (2 for 4) at the other end and a run out the Ascot innings was reduced to 15 for 6 by.......
U13 Berkshire League Quarter Final - Reading vs Bray
Maidenhead & Bray U13's put aside their disappointment at losing in the ECB National Cup when they defeated Reading by 53 runs in their Berkshire League Quarter Final match at Reading this evening.
Bray chose to bat first on winning the toss and got off to an excellent start through openers Tom Harrison (11) and Sachin Moudgil (30 Retired) putting on 43 for the 1st wicket in only 6 overs. Brett Herron kept the scoreboard ticking over at 7 runs per over during the course of his excellent innings of 31.......
Snatching Defeat from the Jaws of Victory
At 4.00pm this afternoon in Cheltenham, chasing 96 to win we were 75 for 3 in the 11th over. 10 minutes later we were all out for 78 and had lost by 18 runs - talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory !!!
They won the toss and chose to bat first. They soon seemed to be regretting this as we reduced them to 32 for 5 with all of our 3 quick bowlers (Jamie, Cameron and Vishal) picking up wickets and frightening some of their batsmen with their pace. They recovered to 96 all out in the 20th.......
The Battle of the Big Two, Part One
Maidenhead & Bray U13's achieved probably their most satisfying result of the season so far when they defeated their local rivals Slough by 25 runs in their Berkshire League encounter on Monday evening.
Bray won the toss and opted to bat first. This was not looking to be a very sensible decision after 5 overs with the score at 26-4 as Slough's opening pair of Haider-Ali Bhatti and Virain Kanwar claimed the wickets of Savy Joshi (0), Sachin Moudgil (12), Alex Hess (0) and Brett Herron (12).
