Under 13's Through to the Colts Julian Cup Final

Maidenhead & Bray U13's qualified for their second cup final this season when they overwhelmed Desborough School in their Julian Cup Semi Final match at Bray on Thursday.

Desborough chose to bat first on winning the toss and must have been ruing their decision as Jamie Odell removed their top 5 batsmen, clean bowling 4 of them, to leave them at 6 for 5 after 5 overs. Odell finished his 4 over spell with the remarkable figures of 5 wickets for 6 runs. Desborough batsmen Sajjad gave some respectability to the score in making 18 but with Oscar Beardmore-Gray claiming 3 for 20 from 2.5 overs and Vishal Gossain taking 1 for 6 from his 2 overs Desborough were bowled out for 43 in the 12th over.

Bray opened up in reply with Sachin Moudgil (20 Retired - Julian Cup rules) and Adam Barratt (9) and they put on 28 for the first wicket. Barratt's dismissal, acrobatically caught and bowled by Ahmed, triggered off a mini collapse in which 3 wickets and Moudgil's retirement all came in the space of 4 runs. However Youraj Singh (8 not out) and Cameron Mahon (3 not out) saw Bray safely to their target without any further loss in the 11th over. Bray won by 7 wickets and can now look forward to playing in the final at North Maidenhead on Monday 6th July against Marlow or Hurst.
