MBCC Under13's V's Boyne Hill Julian Cup

On a very damp evening and damp pitch Maidenhead & Bray U13 Julian Cup team lost the toss and were put into bat. The openers put on a brisk start at more than 6 an over.

Skipper Tom Noakes fell early only to see the big hitting Sam Patuzzo come in and join LD Basson. Both of these batsmen hit to all parts of the very big outfield, with Patuzzo retiring on 39 including a huge 6 and LD Basson also retiring, on 29. Callum Jamieson joined in with a brisk 19 to enable M&B to finish on a respectable 130-4 in their 16 overs.

Boyne Hill started their innings and were pinned down by some very accurate and good swing bowling from Jamie O'Dell and William O'Shea. O'Dell ended with figures of 2 wickets for 2 runs in 2 overs and O'Shea got 2 wickets for 4 runs in 2 overs.

Matt Balmer was introduced into the attack and finished the game off with some good catching off his own bowling(2) to end with figures of 4 wickets for 3 runs. Brad Upton returned figures of 1 wicket for 2 runs in 1 over. Boyne Hill ended on 31 all out to ensure victory by 99 runs.
