A Bad Toss to Lose
Having lost the toss and being put in to bat on a drying wicket with heavy cloud cover and only 10 men it was always going to be a difficult game.
NPL Teddington won the toss and chose to bat. After a steady start by the visitors the MBCC skipper brought in young Alkesh Vaja (5-2-2-7) and Jangir Zaman (15-3-24-3). Who with a spell of accurate bowling strangled the opposition batsmen with 3 wickets falling in an 8 over spell where only 7 runs were scored. Alkesh in particular returning with an opening spell of 2 wickets in 4 overs for no runs.
Returning skipper Samir Vaja lost the toss and the home Side opted to bat. Little realizing new discovery Vishal had several aces up his sleeve.
