With Datchet batting first Bray took all 10 wickets for 168 with an impressive bowling and fielding performance.
On Saturday the Maidenhead and Bray 1st XI embarked on the their first match of the Thames Valley League. They were drew against Stoke Green who were the relegated side the second division from last year. It was a glum day with not much promise for a match but the cricket gods came to their rescue and provided more than adequate conditions.
M&BCC won the toss and elected to bat.
After a convincing start to the season last week, Maidenhead and Bray 1st XI lined themselves up for Reading 3rd XI. It was a slightly cloudy day with good bowling conditions. The toss was won by Bray and they elected to field. Confident of the teams new found bowling attack they got off to a great start keeping the run rate to a minimum and wickets fell at regular intervals.
M&BCC 1st Team entertained Odiham & Greywell at home on Saturday. They lost the toss and were put into bat by the visitors. A well deserved 52 was made by opener Vish Arjan, whilst a very skillfull 117 not out was made by Najeeb Bashir who was partnered by Faisal Chaudrey scoring a powerful 76 not out.
The innings was briefly interrupted by rain, the home team finishing on 264 declared.
