The aim of Maidenhead & Bray Colts Cricket Section is to encourage youngsters to enjoy playing cricket, and through good instruction of skills and practices in a safe environment, develop quality cricketers who want to progress from the Colts Section into the senior teams and beyond.
The club achieved the ECB "Clubmark" accreditation in 2004 and Maidenhead & Bray will be yet again a "focus" club for Berkshire in 2006.
We have a membership now in excess of 350 with 150-200 attending regularly training during the week. Nets and coaching take place by ECB Qualified coaches,we have 20 ECB Level 1 coaches and 6 ECB Level 2 coaches.
We have numerous colts representing Berkshire at County and District levels in various age groups. Many of our present and ex colts now represent the club at senior level as well as holding coaching roles within the club.
“Dear Steve
This is a long overdue email! I would like to thank the whole team of coaches and organisers who ran the Summer Cricket Camp this year.
It was a terrific week which Harry loved! I could not believe the effort the team went to to provide each child with a personalised note and pictures of them playing cricket along with some positive comments about what they had learned and how well they had played at the end of a fabulous week. So a huge thank you to all for making the week so much fun while learning a few more skills.
I would also like to thank all those who turn up each week during the Summer months to coach our young boys on Friday evenings! It's a fabulous environment to start to learn how to play and enjoy the game. Please could you pass on this note as appropriate to those involved.
Thank you!, Nina Bennett”
