In their first match of the season and after an exciting finish, Maidenhead & Bray Under 13 Spitfires narrowly lost to North Maidenhead by 6 runs.
Batting first, North Maidenhead made 106 for 7, with Sulli (20) holding the innings together and Maidenhead & Bray showing some early season goodwill by contributing almost half the runs in extras.
In an entertaining match in Bray on May 20th, a welcome sunny Sunday, Maidenhead & Bray Spitfires beat White Waltham Under 13's by 36 runs.
Once again William O'Shea provided the backbone of the Bray innings, scoring 30 runs before retiring.
At the end of a damp week, Maidenhead & Bray Under 13 Spitfires were delighted to get a match under way at last at home against Finchampstead.
A 6 off the final ball of the innings secured a thrilling win for Maidenhead & Bray Under 13 Spitfires against local rivals, Windsor Dragons. Set 108 to win in fading light, Henry Story and William Brockwell got Bray off to a solid start and a typically robust 29 from Cameron Jacobsen continued the momentum. However, at the start of the final over, Bray still required an unlikely 16 runs to win.
