1000's Runs in April !!!

Over a 1000's runs were scored on the first full weekend of cricket at Bray this year, maybe it was the presence of the Vicar of Bray at Fridays Curry Night we will never know but Najeeb Bashir 89, Karan Kumar 57 produced a elegant match wining partnership to bring the side home against the Sunday Barbarians.

Chasing 254 to win the Bray side eased passed the total with an over to spare with Will Ballantyne finishing the game off with a 6 followed by a 4.

Then on Sunday, a powerfully struck 79 from Bret Van Niekerk, and not to be outdone the Clubs new Chairman, Nick Clements proved he could take on both roles, Club Chairman and Premier batsman with a stylish 50. There were further contributions from Andy Parham 30, Atif Amin 40 and Ryan Bezuidenhout 27 bring the total to 260 for 5 in the allocated 40 overs. Kensington made a valiant effort to reach the target but were eventually bowled out in the 39th over for 233.
